Book Launch: The Meeting Place

I am pleased to say a new edition of my book The Meeting Place: Māori and Pākehā Encounters, 1642-1840 will shortly be published by Bridget Williams Books after the original 2012 work has been out of print for some time now.

The book launch will be held in Wellington on Tuesday 14 October at the Royal Society Te Apārangi, featuring Hon. Justice Sir Joe Wiliams as guest speaker.

To mark the release of this new edition, I will be giving away a signed copy of the book to a randomly selected paid (premium) subscriber to my newsletter Unsettling: Aotearoa New Zealand History on the official launch date. The winner can either receive their prize in person at the launch or I’ll post it.

To enter the draw visit the newsletter homepage and sign up for a premium subscription before 14 October (or use the link below and upgrade to a premium subscription when prompted). And if you are an existing premium subscriber, you are already in the draw.
